It's so sad to hear that you havepassed away. I was one of your pupils from Kings Acre Primary School. You always looked so smart, and always had a smile on your face.

What a sad day. Just heard about the passing of Basil today. We taught next door to each other for 2 years at Byron Court School. He was such a fun character, and I'm glad he played his part in appointing me to the job. I was looking forward to seeing him at Tim Jones' retirement do, but that is now not to be. Sad to know another friend has passed on. I remember the days in Brent when you were the acting head o Wembley Manor Junior School. We both went for the headship and you were offered another post at Kings Acre in South London. I became headteacher of Wembley Manor In Sept 1988 and you at Kings Acre. I t seems like just the other day we were young and ready to change the world and make a difference.

I hope you lived your dream I know you made a difference Baz. We will never forget you. Glad to know you passed my way Baz. You were a pioneer til the end.
